Flightor collects only the personal data it needs to provide its services. This page describes what we store, why, for how long, and what rights you have.
What data we store
- Account: your e-mail address (used as login) and, if you choose to fill them in, your name and address. You can edit or delete these in your profile at any time.
- Watchdogs (price alerts): the route, price limit and travel dates you watch, tied to your account e-mail. The watchdog service cannot work without an e-mail address. When you remove a watchdog, it stops being used; you can also delete your whole account.
- Sent alerts: we keep a record of the alert e-mails we sent you, including whether the e-mail was delivered, opened or clicked. We use this to debug delivery problems and to stop sending to addresses that bounce.
- Browser push notifications: if you enable them, we store the subscription endpoint your browser gives us. Disabling notifications deletes it.
Cookies
Flightor uses only technical (strictly necessary) cookies. We use no advertising and no analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
- sessionid — keeps you logged in and remembers your language and currency choice
- csrftoken — protects forms against cross-site request forgery
- cookielaw_accepted — remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice
Third parties
We share data with third parties only where needed to run the service:
- E-mail delivery: alert and account e-mails are sent through a transactional e-mail provider (Amazon SES or SparkPost), which processes your e-mail address and delivery events on our behalf.
- Fonts: the site loads a font from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when downloading it.
- Error monitoring: when something breaks, technical details of the error may be sent to our error-tracking service so we can fix it. These reports are not used to profile users.
- Deal links: clicking a deal takes you to the seller's website (or a flight search partner). From that moment their privacy policy applies — we only count the click, without any personal data.
- Deal texts from public RSS feeds are processed by automated translation and parsing services (DeepL, Google Gemini). No user data is ever sent there.
Server logs
For the purpose of debugging and for meeting legitimate access logging requirements, we store the IP addresses from which users access Flightor. We only use these logs for a necessary time. Only the person responsible for managing the servers has access to those logs.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to its processing. Every alert e-mail contains a one-click unsubscribe link. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us.
